The Wild Card: Vancouver Storm 5

🌶️ Spice Level: 7/10

Description:
Jordan Hathaway never expected to find herself working alongside Tate Ward, the Vancouver Storm's handsome, authoritative head coach and a man who seems to like everyone except her. But when Jordan's father threatens to sell the team, the two are forced to put their differences aside and work together to save the Storm. When Tate moves Jordan into his guest house, their forced proximity makes it increasingly difficult to ignore the attraction between them. As their walls begin to come down, Jordan discovers that beneath Tate's serious exterior is a funny, caring and protective single dad who may be exactly what she never knew she needed. With hockey, forced proximity, workplace romance, age-gap tension, a single dad and plenty of banter, The Wild Card is a heartfelt and steamy addition to the Vancouver Storm series.

Tate's relationship with his daughter and his caring, protective personality are also popular highlights, while fans of the series enjoyed seeing the Vancouver Storm family come together for its final story. Some readers felt the first half was slower and that the chemistry took time to develop, while others noted that the spice is less frequent than in some of the previous books in the series. Overall, readers have found it to be an emotional, funny and satisfying conclusion to the Vancouver Storm series, particularly for fans who enjoy slow-burn hockey romance with plenty of heart.
