The Deal

🌶️ Spice Level: 6/10

Description:
Taylor Marsh has always struggled to feel like she belongs, especially among her sorority sisters. When they dare her to seduce Conor Edwards, Briar's newest hockey star and one of the hottest guys on campus, she decides to take the challenge. Conor is used to attention, but instead of laughing Taylor off, he agrees to help her pull off the ultimate fake-out. What starts as a simple dare quickly turns into a fake relationship neither of them expected to take seriously. As their attraction grows, pretending becomes increasingly difficult, and Taylor begins to discover that the confident, charming hockey player has far more depth than she first assumed. With fake dating, college romance, hockey, friends-to-lovers energy, banter, a curvy heroine and a sweet-but-confident hero, The Dare is a fun, steamy contemporary romance with plenty of chemistry.

Reviews:
Readers often praise The Dare for its playful chemistry, easy-to-read writing and charming combination of hockey romance, fake dating and college drama. Taylor's insecurities give the romance an emotional layer, while Conor's confident, flirtatious personality creates plenty of banter and attraction. The romance is more light-hearted and relationship-focused than dark or intensely erotic, with the spice appearing through explicit open-door scenes rather than dominating the story. Readers who enjoy fun college romances, hockey players, fake relationships, friends-to-lovers dynamics and a sweeter take on a steamy romance may particularly enjoy The Dare.
