Reviews:
Readers have praised the book for its emotional intensity, dramatic twists and the relationship between Alira and Kalel. Many fans particularly enjoyed the angst, betrayal and emotional journey of the couple, with some describing the ending as heartbreaking but satisfying. The fantasy world, demons, demigods and continuing enemies-to-lovers storyline also remain popular. However, some readers felt the pacing was uneven and that the characters and plot weren't as strong or connected as in the first book. The spice is definitely present, although some readers felt there was more emphasis on the emotional connection than the physical side of the relationship. Overall, it's a good choice for readers who enjoy dark romantasy, emotional angst, enemies-to-lovers and a high level of spice.
