Reviews:
Readers are particularly passionate about Nesta's character development, with many praising her journey from anger and isolation towards strength, friendship and healing. The relationship between Nesta and Cassian is another major highlight, with readers loving their fiery chemistry, banter and enemies-to-lovers dynamic. The friendships Nesta develops with Gwyn and Emerie are also frequently praised and are an important part of the emotional heart of the story. Some readers find the book too long and feel that the amount of intimate content sometimes takes attention away from the fantasy plot, while others love the higher level of spice. Overall, it is considered one of the most emotional and romance-focused books in the ACOTAR series, with significantly more explicit content than the earlier books.
