Wretched

🌶️ Spice Level: 8/10

Description:
Eveline Westerly has always been the villain of her own story. As the ruthless brains behind her family's drug empire, she is used to getting what she wants—and destroying anyone who stands in her way. Her life revolves around her greenhouse, her family's business and revenge for her sister's murder, leaving no room for love. But when a dangerous man enters her carefully controlled world, Eveline finds herself drawn into a relationship that threatens to unravel everything she believes about trust, desire and loyalty. A dark and delicious reimagining of The Wizard of Oz, Wretched combines morally grey characters, revenge, obsession, danger and a steamy romance that will appeal to readers who love their fairy tales with a much darker twist.

Reviews:
Readers are drawn to Wretched for its dark atmosphere, morally grey characters and strong, ruthless heroine. Eveline's determination and willingness to embrace her darker side have made her a favourite with readers who enjoy villainous protagonists, while the chemistry and tension in the romance are frequently praised. Fans also enjoy the twisted fairy-tale elements and the revenge-driven storyline, although some readers feel the plot can become predictable and that the darker themes aren't for everyone. With plenty of spice, suspense and complicated characters, Wretched is best suited to readers who enjoy dark romance with a dangerous, anti-heroine-led story.
