At the centre of it all is Xaden Riorson — the powerful, fiercely protective wingleader she can't seem to stay away from, even as secrets and mistrust threaten their relationship. As Violet discovers more about the war, her powers and the truth hidden within Basgiath, she must decide who she can trust while fighting to stay alive. Filled with dragons, magic, military training, enemies-to-lovers tension, forbidden secrets, a morally grey hero and a fiercely determined heroine, Iron Flame is a high-stakes romantasy packed with action, emotional turmoil and an intense romance.

Reviews:
Readers particularly love the continued relationship between Violet and Xaden, with their chemistry, banter and emotional connection remaining one of the biggest draws of the series. Xaden's protective and possessive nature continues to make him a favourite, while Violet's growing confidence and determination make her an engaging heroine. The book contains several genuinely explicit open-door scenes, including a few particularly memorable and detailed encounters, but the spice is spread throughout a much larger story and does not dominate the book. There are also several lighter moments of kissing and sexual tension between the main scenes. Fans praise the dragons, action, expanding fantasy world and constant twists, although some readers found the pacing and sheer amount of plot information overwhelming in places. Overall, Iron Flame is a great choice for readers who want a fantasy romance with real on-page spice, but whose main focus is still dragons, danger, magic and an addictive high-stakes plot.
