Description:
Sally Powell is back in her hometown of Hartsville, Texas, waiting for her dream job to begin in New York. After a long dry spell, she's determined to find herself a handsome cowboy to have a little fun with before she leaves. There's just one problem: her best friend, Wyatt Rivers, is the exact kind of cowboy she's looking for. Wyatt is a charming, dirty-talking rancher with a reputation for being a heartbreaker, but Sally has been secretly in love with him since they were children. When she asks Wyatt to teach her the art of flirting and finding a casual hookup, neither of them expects their lessons to turn into fake dating, real kisses and something far more complicated. As years of hidden feelings begin to surface, Sally must decide whether her future belongs in New York or with the cowboy who's always had her heart. With friends-to-lovers, fake dating, spicy lessons, mutual pining, a reformed playboy, good girl x bad boy, small-town romance and plenty of cowboy charm, Wyatt is a steamy contemporary romance filled with yearning, humour and undeniable chemistry.

Reviews:
Readers generally enjoy Wyatt for its childhood friends-to-lovers storyline, the decades of history between Sally and Wyatt and the intense romantic tension that develops between them. Wyatt's charming, protective and occasionally dirty-talking cowboy personality is a major draw for fans of the genre, while Sally's ambitions and emotional journey add depth to their romance. Many readers praise the mutual pining, playful banter, fake-dating setup and the way the story balances heartfelt moments with plenty of spice. Some readers particularly connect with Wyatt's emotional vulnerability and his journey through grief, while others find the pacing or Sally's character development less consistent. Overall, Wyatt is a popular choice for readers who love small-town cowboy romance, childhood friends finally falling in love and a slow burn filled with longing that delivers plenty of heat.
