Gloves Off: Vancouver Storm 4

🌶️ Spice Level: 7.5/10

Description:
Georgia Greene is a talented team doctor for the Vancouver Storm, and the last person she expects to marry is Alexei Volkov—the team's grumpy, intimidating hockey enforcer. But when Georgia needs to secure her inheritance and Alexei needs a solution of his own, a marriage of convenience seems like the perfect answer. Forced to live together and pretend they're newlyweds, their constant arguments soon become impossible-to-ignore attraction. As the lines between pretending and reality begin to blur, Georgia discovers that beneath Alexei's cold exterior is a surprisingly caring and protective man. With enemies-to-lovers tension, marriage of convenience, hockey, grumpy sunshine and plenty of chemistry, Gloves Off is a fun, steamy romance with plenty of banter and heart.

Reviews:
Readers have particularly enjoyed the fiery chemistry and banter between Georgia and Alexei, with many loving the transition from enemies who can't stand each other to a couple who become completely devoted to one another. Alexei's softer, protective side and the romantic gestures he makes toward Georgia are frequent favourites, while the marriage-of-convenience setup adds plenty of entertaining tension. Readers also praise the humour, emotional development and connections to the wider Vancouver Storm series. Some felt the beginning was slower and that Alexei's initial attitude was frustrating, but many found the second half especially satisfying. Overall, Gloves Off has been very well received by fans of spicy hockey romance, enemies-to-lovers and grumpy heroes.
